I hate admitting to it, but this Aunty is a BIG Dr. Laura fan, not personally (because frankly I would like to see someone hang her by her BVDs from a telephone wire while forcing her to say “I AM MY ENLISTED KID’S MOM” 100 times and flapping her arms like a Mynah bird flaps its wings!)
Anyhow, this is the sort of thing that REALLY PISSES ME OFF!! These assholes in office can make magic when it comes to them and their interests, but when it comes to something as important as ensuring that children, even the ones not born yet, are protected, it’s almost like they don’t care. Then these same morons have the nerve to blame ONLY THE MOTHER...forget the father, forget the fact that in some regions publicly supplied birth control is not available to a certain part of the public. I don’t know the rules there, but a free clinic is ANYTHING but free. No, I do not know this because of something that may have happened to me in the past. I know this because my kid sistah, Napua, has plenty of friends who are EXTREMELY LOLO...or maybe it is the other “L” word- Lazy- when it comes to preventing things such as an unplanned pregnancy.
If people want things to change, they will have to change things on their own, not through words but through action. There is nothing as bad as a strung out mother, other than a strung out baby who didn’t have a choice.
Usually, not having a choice , in many parts of this country, due to the pull of motherhood, the economics of it all, or even, sadly, a mother who only sees the child as a means to get a monthly welfare check (and all she had to do was get laid to get paid), means also not having a chance.
Abortion is only a choice, an option, and I stand by choice. I stand by Roe V Wade. It is sad, though, that some women choose to “get rid of it” rather than adopt it out.
Or they could do the smart thing and get birth control.
AND FORGET ABOUT “WHY DOESN’T HE HAVE TO TAKE CARE OF THAT PART?”
Well, stupid, because he’s a guy, and the sad fact is that guys do not like wearing rubbers, do not fancy going to have their guavas chopped, etc.
So, no be lolo...take a pill..."tie it up” once the baby comes out. THere is no need for this travesty.
Your son and his wife should be made the holy patron saints of (uhhhh...I dunno....) Waimanalo.....yeah, das good...BEEG WAVES and still kinda untouched by the tourists (I think)
Eh!!!
