Too busy to post on my own page
Hey everyone! I haven’t posted for a few days. Been pretty busy with Kamalani and the new puppy. And I’ve been babysitting my grand- niece who is nothing at all like Kamalani. She gets into everything and touches everything. No matter how much spanking she gets from the mom, she still goes back and touches and messes everything up. She’s 1yr. 7 months old, and just started talking about a month now. She can’t make sentences yet, not even put 2 words together. She’s smart and understands what you tell her, but she’s really slow in talking. I guess she’s one of the late bloomers, cause Kamalani was talking in sentences at a year old.
This little one, her name is Delilah is very hard headed. But it’s not too bad when she’s with me cause she knows I mean business. Saturday was laundry day ( which I dread).
But anyway, my daughter and I took them to see Madagascar on Sunday. Kamalani understands alot, so she really enjoyed the movie and now she’s walking around the house singing couple of the songs. Delilah only liked the music and fell asleep after she ate the munchies.
Yesterday, I took Kamalani and Missy to the Hawaiian Adventures Water Park. I stayed in the bigger kids pool with Kamalani while Missy went down the Volcano, Cliffhanger and other cool rides.
She wanted to go on the Shaka, but you need at least 2 people on that one. They had a ball! Kamalani enjoyed going down the slides and swimming around in the pool area. She even went down the big green slide. All in all we had a fun weekend and hopefully we can get together with Doyle, Btude and Little Tude this weekend.

Kekaimalu…..The Calm Sea
The Calm Sea………is my new page. That page was made for my children and grandchildren, so that they have something to remember us by. On this site, you will find all the songs and poems that were written by me and my husband. And someday by my son Kaleo. Which is another reason I made this, so that he can go on and find all the songs that we have written. And he can publish through his recording company called Iwalani Productions. Iwalani Productions is named for his daughter, my grand-daughter Journie Melody Iwalani Bent.
This new site is a place of peace and serenity. A place where all our writings can be viewed, but not to be used by anyone other than family, unless given permission by authors and composers of said piece. I hope you will stop there and see the work that we have done. Thank you.

HAPPY FATHER’S DAY!
I would like to wish all you men out there who have become a Dad, Happy Father’s Day. Anyone can become a father, but only special ones become Daddies. One who cares, nurtures, teaches and cherishes each and every moment they spend with their child is a Daddy. There are many father’s out there, but how many can say that their family is the most important thing in their life?
First to my father George Rawlins who is no longer with us in body, but his spirit and his love lives in mine and my children’s heart. He gave me the strength that I have today. He taught me what faithful is. He worked hard and gave me the things I needed as a child. And when I grew up I gave him back the things that he needed in his daily life. I bought him the tools that he need for work, some of his fishing poles and other things that he needed for recreation. I wanted to buy him a boat, but he built one on his own and I helped him. I even helped him build a couple of surfboards for our own use. And when he was strickened with lung cancer it broke my heart. But I took care of him and made sure that he went for all his treatments, take all his daily medications, made him his favorite foods, rubbed his back when he was in pain, and gave him back the love that he gave me. Then he wanted to go home to his wife and his land, so I let him. Four days later he passed on. It eats away at my soul because I was not at his death bed to say goodbye and tell him how much I loved him. But I went and paid my last respects and took him back to the island of Molokai. There we commenced his ashes to the sea where he wanted to go, where his heart was. I love you Dad, more than you’ll ever know.
My husband Charles Bent Sr. who is a kind and gentle man that gave his love to his children and let them be their own person.
All my uncles, my Dad’s brothers some of whom have already passed on and were excellent Daddies like mine was.
To my sons:
Kaos who has become an excellent Daddy not only to his own child, but to Justice as well.
Charles Jr. or CK, who was a Daddy to not only to his own 2 sons, but to his step children who only know him as their Dad. And to his 2 nieces and nephew whom he raised for over 12 years.
Jimmy, who is a loving Dad of 3 beautiful children.
Brandon, who is an excellent Dad raising his son by himself.
Conrad, who loves his children but doesn’t have a clue.
My extended family:
James Okagawa my daughter Malia’s father-in-law.
Jon Okagawa, Daddy to Kai. His wife Ginny is a beautiful, talented artist.
Steve Scanlan husband of Cissy, who raised 6 of my hanai grandchildren all of whom are not his own. That is a Daddy.
Keith Kadota, WiRed’s Dad
My son-in-law Mr. Wench’s Dad.
To all my boy cousins who also became great Daddies like their own.
To all my friends in blogsville:
Jaded Sunburn’s husband
3T’s husband
If I’ve forgotten anyone, I’m sorry. I’ll catch you later.
HAPPY FATHER’S DAY!

My Day With The Honu
We went to Nimitz Beach again to celebrate Father’s Day. the same place we went for our Mother’s Day picnic. I want to kick myself in the arse cause I didn’t have my camera and video cam with me.
When we first got there we had our lunch cause we were all starving. Then we waited a few minutes before we went in the water. So we lounged around talking and decided okay, it’s hot, time for a swim. So we all went in the water and guess what? There was a honu swimming with us. When we looked around, there was another one. They were big gorgeous hawaiian sea turtles swimming near the rocks about 10 feet away from us. They were getting a good bashing cause they were feeding off the reefs. We got out of the water to see how many and how close they were, also Jeff went to get his video cam. We counted 5. 3 big ones and 2 little ones.
If they weren’t so close to the rocks I would have swam there and caught a ride on the big one. I used to do it when I was a child growing up in Molokai. My father and uncles are all divers, fishermen and cowboys. So as a child I grew up swimming with the honus, mano’s (sharks) which is our family’s aumakua, and lots of other sea creatures. We could all swim by the time we were 2 1/2. They would take us on the boat out in the deep blue and throw us in the ocean. We had to sink or swim! They never dove in to get us either. We had to swim back to the boat on our own. But I’m glad they did that, cause I don’t think I could live to far from it. I love the ocean! I find peace and solitude there.
My cousins and I used to catch the baby hammerheads about a foot and a half long. One time we caught one, took it home and stuck it in the freezer. When my aunt came home from work and opened up the freezer………there it was staring her in the face. Boy did we get our asses whooped!! But I learned so much growing up in the water. I learned to free dive and spear fish when I was 8, I learned to go torching and look for crabs, I learned to eat the fish right out of the ocean. Scale it and break the head off then eat it, raw. Same thing with the opaes( shrimps). Only those we used to eat it with the heads on. Am I grossing some of you out? I hope I am.
The ocean was our whole life.
I also learned to shoot a shotgun when I was 8-9 years old. I learned to hunt for deer, quails, pheasants and goats. We never went without food and we had the time of our lives. We knew how to live off the land and the sea. And being in the water with the honu today brought back so many fond memories. Would you believe I had my own pet deer. My father found it stuck in a ditch one day when I was 12, and brought it home for me. I kept it in the house for a little while cause it had to be bottle fed, then she went out when she got bigger. Her name was Girlie.
I really miss my childhood days, but it felt so good being in the water with the honu today. It really is an awesome feeling when you can swim with some of the creatures that inhabit the Pacific Ocean. And maybe that’s one of the reasons why I gave my grandbaby the name Kamalani o ke kai……Child Of The Sea. And God willing, I want to teach her what I learned at her age. I want her to become one with the sea as I have. I don’t ever want her to fear the ocean. And my only regret of the day was that she wasn’t with me. She would have been so ecstatic to be swimming with these fine creatures of the vast blue Pacific Ocean. Her father came and got her for the weekend. She really didn’t want to go, but tomorrow is Father’s Day and she should spend it with him.

The Wai’anae Zoo
Yes, ladies and gentlemen. We have a Zoo in Wai’anae. It’s starts in Nanakuli and ends in Makua. Let me take you on a tour.
First in Nanakuli you will see the animals called the Ladies Of The Night. They walk on 2 feet, tight shorts or mini-skirts, some of them are of the male gender, yes and they too wear skirts. You can see them on the corner by the butler building trying to pick up a trick.
When you get to Ma’ili, you will see all the vans which are used to shelter the next species of animals we call the Drug Dealers. You will see cars and bicycle riders stop by for these animals to feed.
When you reach Wai’anae town you will have your snack shops and retailers for you to buy food and souvenirs like toilet paper, shampoo, toothpaste, etc. Also you will see alot of animals of all colors panhandling in front of the mini-marts and drive-inns.
Moving along you will come to the Wai’anae Boat Harbor which not only ports sailing and fishing vessels, but also some species that they call Homeless. Because they are too lazy and to drugged up to go to work, and instead they beg for food and cigarettes and steal from the boats that are docked in the harbor.
Then past that you will see the High School that has classrooms on the sidewalk for those who think they are smarter than the teachers. Yes, and the subject matter will be who can smoke the most joints before they venture off to the real classrooms.
Further down the road you will come to the 7-11 convenience store where you can stop for gas or a few snacks and something cold to drink. But be careful cause there are animals who are intelligent enough to talk to themselves and bum a ciggy or ask for spare change. You have entered the Makaha district.
Moving along you will come to Makaha Surfing Beach where actually is the recreation area for normal people, and the species there are more intellectual and better for you to associate with. You can have a descent conversation with the visitors there.
Down the road you will have Yokohama’s and Pray for Sets Beach where all the surfers hang out. Then towards the end of the road is Keeau Beach Park which has been cleaned out of it’s inhabitants, but at night you will find some that consume alchohol and smoke a few joints. Thus ends the tour of the Wai’anae Coast Zoo.
Thank you ladies and gentlemen. The fee for this tour is a barrel of laughs and critisizms.

Thieves
Some asshole tried to steal my new sticker from my license plate. But those bastards couldn’t get it because I always cut it up after I put them on. I just got the sticker last month, now I only have half a sticker. I guess they stopped when it started falling apart in pieces. Stupid MF’s!! So I posted a sign in my garage and this is what it says:
STAY THE F__K OUT OF OUR GARAGE!
THIS IS A WARNING.
You do not belong on our side if you do
not live in our house.
If and when I find out who tried to steal
our license sticker off our car, I will call
the police.
You are F__KING with the wrong people.
Sometimes you can’t be civil. This is the only kind of language that the people next door understand. You see, I know who didn’t try to take it. Because everyone else that live here don’t need to take it because their cars are legal. They have up to date registration and insurance on their cars like we do. Problem is, I did not see, so I cannot accuse at this time.
Now you know why I need to take my ass out of this neighborhood! I am tired of dealing with this shit all the time. The kids are wild and don’t know how to act. I would be ashamed to take them in public if they were my kids. But then again, my kids would never act the way these kids here do.
My husband and I exposed them to everything so they learned manners at a very young age. We used to take them to the Hotels to teach them fine dining. Took them every where we could, and where we couldn’t, we didn’t go. We also taught them the value of money buy making them earn it. Even tho’ we had the money, they couldn’t get what they wanted until they deserved it.
It is so sad that some people do not know how to raise their young ones. How can a child learn right from wrong when they are only following in their parents footsteps. You can tell how a child was raised by the way a child behaves. And here in Waianae, alot of them are not very stand up people, if you know what I mean.

Let’s all welcome 3T’s daughter LOL Tomboy , my grandbaby Child Of The Sea and my niece Local Gurl
These young ones have joined Dakota in the kiddie bloggasphere. Remember that our children are the future, so teach them well. Kids are bright and will learn to be upright citizens if they are taught well by their parents. And this can be a start for these youngsters, so be nice and mind your manners or I’ll give you a what for! Thank you.
