A Song From My Husband…..Dec. ‘77
This
is a song my darling Charley wrote me in the year 1977. He then let a
children’s group called Na Opio O Kuhio record this the following year.
It is a cute and easy song for children to learn. I would like to share
the words with you. We will record this someday on our own. I now pass
this song on to all my grandchildren and great-grandchildren. This song
is now for you my precious family. I love you with all my heart.

WHAT CAN I GIVE YOU FOR CHRISTMAS
What can I give you for Christmas?
Santa doesn’t have it in his bag
What can I give you for Christmas?
Only my love on a Christmas tag
Bridge:
I can’t buy you jewels
Or other priceless gems
I don’t even have
The price to sew my hems
So, what can I give you for Christmas?
Only my love, and may God bless
Only my love, and may God bless

I miss you my beloved husband, and I love you with all my heart and soul. Merry Christmas!
54th Aniversary Of Pearl Harbor

The
Arizona Memorial, a sad but true realization of the lives lost on
December 7, 1941. This is in memory of the Military personnel and other
human beings who lost their lives on this day, 64 years ago. We salute
you!
My father was working on Ford Island when Japan attacked
and crippled the Pacific Fleet. So he saw first hand what took place
and fortunately he survived the horror.
I remember stories
my parents told me of how they had to paint their window panes black,
so no light would show through and attract attention. And how they were
all issued gas masks, had to built shelters and store canned foods and
other non-perishable items. And they were under Marshall Law, had
curfews and lights out at a certain time. How my grandparents and their
friends and relatives had to live in concentration camps.
So
today, on the anniversary of such a time in history, I pay honor to all
those who were killed, and to those who survived this tragedy.
Domo Arigato!!
I would like to say thank you, mahalo, domo arigato to my lovely daughter the Tech Wench for my new gorgeous template with a Christmas Theme. Isn’t it just

starring me in the face! I absolutely, possitively love it!!
I
also want to say thank you to my two blog buddies for another nice,

Happy Birthday, My Darling

Hauoli
La Hanau Kahae. Happy birthday, my love. I am so sorry you had to
depart before we could honor you for one more birthday. You would have
been 73 years old today.
It is so hard to be without you, the
love of my life. My heart aches so much not having you here with us,
but I know you are at peace. Not a day goes by that I do not think of
you and remember how much love we shared and all the beautiful
children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren we have.
You
brought us such joy and laughter all the years you spent here with us.
We shall remember these moments fondly, and carry these memories
forever. We will also put all your music together and share them with
others. Jimmy, Tech Wench and I will do our best to promote all the music that represents a
beautiful man. A man who loved and showed no hate, a man who lived and
showed others how.
You are gone, but will never be
forgotten. I love you with all my heart and soul, and hope you are
looking down and smiling upon us with all the love inside your soul.
Meke Aloha,
Your loving wife

Aloha And Ahui Hou My Love

Where
and how do I begin to say that my heart is shattered in a million
pieces with the lost of my dearest husband Charley. He has been my
soulmate for the past 29 years. We shared a life that some people wish
they could have.
I love you Charles Kahaealohaulaokalani
Bent Sr. with all my heart and soul. And I hope that you will be
waiting for me with open arms when it is my turn to depart. But for
now, I need to be here for all our children and grandchildren who need
me. I have a goal to let your legacy live on through your children,
grandchildren, and your music.
I will carry you in my heart
for as long as I live and my love for you will never fade. You were the
love of my life and there can be no other love for me. I am so sorry
that I was so helpless and could not fix what was wrong. If I had the
power to heal all of the sickness that took over your body, it would
have been done. But only God can perform that kind of miracle and He
needed you to be with him in Heaven. I am sorry that I had to let you
go, but I could not be selfish and let you continue to be in such a
lifeless state of being just so I could have you here on earth with me.
You suffered for a long time and was so weak at the end that I knew it
was time for us to part. But there will be a glorious day when we shall
meet once more and I can hold you and tell you that I love you once
again.
And I want to say sorry to all my 10 children that I
could not give them their father back, but he will continue to live in
my heart and in theirs. We have wonderful memories of him that will
carry on through the years to come. He lives in your heart and in your
veins and he loved everyone of you with all his heart and his soul. You
are his life line!
And to my niece Cissy, her husband Steve,
and my Scanlan grandchildren……Papa loved you with all his heart and
cherished every moment he spent with you. Remember him fondly and keep
him in your hearts always.
I am numb and lost now that you are
gone. But I will carry out your wishes and live for you. Meke aloha and
ahui hou. With love, until we meet again.
Kamalani’s goodbye: My Papa, My Hero
A Fond Aloha Oe!
I
would like to take this time to wish a friend a fond Aloha Oe. Farewell
Becky, and may you have a safe journey to your new home. We will miss
you and your cute pups Reese and Kona.
May you have a good
life and find much happiness in your new venture. Thank you for being a
friend! I shall always remember our get togethers and cherish it
always. It has been such a pleasure meeting and knowing you.
Kamalani & I, along with my family, extended family like Wired, and good friends like DB and Chris……. bid you a fond Aloha and a hui hou ( till we meet again). We wish you well. Take care.
Happy Veterans Day!
Happy
Veterans Day to all the brave men and women who have served in all
branches of our Armed Forces. Today is a day that we honor all of you
who fought for your country and your beliefs. America is very proud of
you!
I especially would like to honor my dearest husband
Charley who now lies in a hospital bed fighting to recover from an
illness. He served in the Army as a Ranger and fought in the forgotten
war, the Korean War. He saw many a battle buddy get shot and blown up.
And to this day has occasional nightmares about it. He join the Army at
the early age of 17, took his training at Schoffield here in Hawaii. He
served our country for 6 years in Germany, Korea, and California where
he took his discharge. He is my Hero, and the Hero of my 10 children. I
love you Kahae with all my heart and soul and I stand by you as you
fight the greatest battle of your life. God bless you!
And I would also like to honor my son-in-law Kyle West for his part of serving our country in the Navy. And my son Brandon who
served in the Marine Corps. And my father who also served in the Army
during World War II, and is no longer with us in body, but his spirit
will always be in my heart.
And I would like to honor all my
blog buddies out there who have served our country and defended her
with pride. Especially my good friend Mr. Doyle, and my sons good friend Norsegod. And a fine lady who also served for 10 years, Melissa from Running Blonde. Hats off to all of you! I love you all and wish you the very best in life.
